Overview

The Am Law 200 is the definitive ranking of the Second Hundred largest law firms in the United States by gross revenue. Published each year through the efforts of the Law.com editorial, research and analyst teams, this report offers firm-by-firm data on key financial metrics and deep analysis of the cohort's performance, and what it means for the rest of the market. Information includes an examination of revenue, profits, per-lawyer metrics, headcount growth and much more.

While the Second Hundred posted better collective growth rates than the Am Law 100 in every key metric except revenue in fiscal 2024, the Second Hundred returns to taking a clear back seat to the Am Law 100 for fiscal 2025. The Second Hundred's collective growth rate in gross revenue (6%) was less than half that of the Am Law 100 (13%). And even solid gains in per-lawyer metrics such as PEP (9.5%) trailed that of the Am Law 100 (14% growth in PEP).

Gross Revenue for the Second Hundred increased in 2025 by 6.0 percent, compared to the 10.8 percent increase in 2024.
