Asia 50
ALM Intelligence gathers firm-level data for Asian firms for the previous calendar year. The Asia 50 list encompasses two different data sets. First, we survey a range of firms based in Asia to obtain each firm's total head count of qualified lawyers, excluding trainees and contract attorneys. To pull together a list of the U.S. firms with the largest headcounts in the Asia-Pacific region, we draw on data collected by The National Law Journals NLJ 500 survey. Finally, we ask non-U.S. firms with Asia-Pacific offices for the number of qualified lawyers in those offices. To ensure an apples-to-apples comparison, we specified that all numbers should represent the previous years full-time-equivalent (FTE) head counts.
