The perfect tool to compare a law firm's KPI's against a peer group, such as a firm against their panel peers.

The NLJ 500 is the National Law Journals survey of the 500 largest law firms in the nation, covering the previous calendar year.

Staffing counts are based on a firm's average FTE attorneys for full year. Partner statistics include both equity and non-equity partners. Non-partner or other figures include special counsel, of counsel, and other staff attorneys. We do not include contract or temporary attorneys.

Data for women attorneys reflects average FTE counts for attorneys in the previous calendar year, and are self-reported unpublished data gathered as part of the NLJ 500. However, not all firms in the NLJ 500 provided gender information. Some firms cannot count gender in average FTE terms, which explains why they may be missing from this scorecard.
